Sleeping at regular times for a period ranging between seven and eight hours maintains the skin's freshness because the water content in the skin is replenished again at night, and growth hormones are active in the period after midnight. These hormones' function is to accelerate cell division by more than eight times compared to the speed of their division during the day.


2- Doing sports

Studies conducted at Harvard University in the United States have shown that exercising for a few minutes a day is sufficient to tighten the skin and maintain physical fitness. Also, it leads to a weight loss of a few kilograms, increases the sense of satisfaction, and stimulates anti-aging factors in the body. It is optimal to exercise for thirty minutes a day.


3- Relaxation

It is known to dermatologists and researchers that free radicals and offensive oxygen molecules contribute significantly to the aging process by attacking the connective tissue fibers, which is what creates wrinkles. The researchers discovered that these elements and molecules are formed more in people who go through long periods of stress, opposite of those who live a calm and less stressful life, so doctors recommend relaxation regularly.

A minute of laughter is equivalent to 45 minutes of relaxation.


4- Healthy, balanced food

A diet low in fat and rich in vitamins slows down the speed of the aging process. Fruits and vegetables that contain large amounts of vitamin C, such as paprika, broccoli, and kiwi, maintain the elasticity of collagen fibers in the skin, and fruits and vegetables that contain vitamin A, like tomatoes and carrots, speed up the process of cell division.


5- Avoid smoking

Smoking is one of the most common causes of wrinkles, as nicotine in cigarettes constricts blood vessels and attacks the collagen responsible for the freshness and firmness of the skin.
